BC’s biggest restaurant fundraiser is teaming up with Ned Bell, Executive Chef of YEW restaurant + bar at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver, to rally support for the 18th Dining Out For Life restaurant fundraiser and the 18,000 British Columbians living with HIV/AIDS.
As Honourary Chef, Ned Bell will be available for cooking demos and interviews along with event beneficiaries Lisa Martella, Executive Director of A Loving Spoonful and Sheena Sargeant, Executive Director of Friends For Life.
“I’m excited to have this opportunity, together with Yew restaurant + bar, to support two great organizations that provide invaluable nutrition and therapeutic services – Friends For Life and A Loving Spoonful,” said Bell. “Dining Out For Life is about giving back to the community and also giving yourself a break. What a better way to give than to treat yourself and your friends for a night out on the town.”
On Thursday, March 29th, 250 Dining Out For Life restaurants will contribute 25% of their food sales to support people living with HIV/AIDS though A Loving Spoonful and Friends For Life.
“We’re thrilled to have Ned Bell on board as our Honourary Chef,” said Sargeant. “He’s a talented home-grown chef, keen on the event and willing to pitch in for a great cause. By dining out on Thursday, March 29th, Ned and thousands of Lower Mainland diners will help improve the lives of British Columbians living with HIV/AIDS.”
“Everyone can be a part of Dining Out For Life,” added Martella. “All you have to do is select a location from our online list; invite your friends; dine out and have fun. Don’t give it a second thought. Reserve your table today.”
