Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea at Notch8

Afternoon Tea is an art and should be an extraordinary experience one that you will cherish. Vancouver has some wonderful places for you to indulge in an Afternoon Tea experience. Each of the places is unique in what they offer along with the type of service and selection of sandwiches, pastries and desserts. I am on a journey around the city to find these extraordinary places.

A wonderful and delicious Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea experience that has been decorated for the occasion to celebrate the cherry blossom season.

You enter the beautiful garden of cherry blossoms by the secret bookshelf hidden door and now you are ready to enjoy the cherry blossom season.

Lawrence joined me and we started off with a selection of teas, I had the Organic Goddess Oolong while he had the Sencha Kyoto Cherry rose tea. Lawrence also tried a couple of their feature cocktails, his favourite of the two was The Wind Rises, he also tried the Hanami.

We were then served a 3-tier tray filled with scones, savouries and sweets.

My favorites were:

Matcha chocolate chip scones

Savoury bites:

Aburi Salmon

Sweet bites:

Sakura chiffon shortcake roll

Green tea financier

Miso butter cookie
