I recently spent some time test driving the Acura RDX A-Spec 2024 car on a day trip to Bellingham for some eats and coffee and do some exploring.
The car offers up a large cargo area to hold your personal belongings to take on a trip or the groceries and such you plan on bringing back from a trip. There is also a hidden spot underneath the cargo area for those items you may wish to hide from the public eye such as a laptop or camera.
It was a smooth ride for both myself and Lawrence as we started the day at Café Adagio which has been a staple in downtown Bellingham since 2006. Surprisingly neither of us had been to this cafe until now, I had a Cappuccino while Lawrence had an Americano and we relaxed in this popular local favourite.
Next up was a visit down Railroad Avenue to the Bellingham Farmers Market and another first for us as we were first time visitors; the market features a wide variety of food, crafts and fashion vendors both inside and outside.
From there we headed over to one of my favourite spots the Other Side Bagel Co. where they make hand rolled organic bagels, here I had a Salt & Herb bagel with a plain cream cheese shmear.
We then headed over to the Bellingham Marina which was minutes away to visit the Marine Life Centre which is a great spot for families with children to learn about the sea animals in the Salish Sea and the admission is free.
Next up was a delicious lunch COA Mexican Eatery I had the Pollo en Mole with grilled chicken breast, with their delicious traditional mole sauce while Lawrence had the Fresco Salad.
For the last stop on our own day tour we visited Big Rock Garden Park which was another first for both of us, this is an interesting attraction and another one that is free and has been located in the area for several years. Nestled in a grove of evergreens above Lake Whatcom sits a unique city park showcasing original sculptures in a 2.5 acre garden.
The RDX car had a great Technology package which is an important addition when getting this vehicle that includes front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert and for a car of this calibre had great fuel efficiency.
I really enjoyed the Acura RDX 2024 was a great car to drive to and from Bellingham.
