Sakura Cherry Blossom Tea at Five Sails

Afternoon Tea is an art and should be an extraordinary experience one that you will cherish. Vancouver has some wonderful places for you to indulge in an Afternoon Tea experience. Each of the places is unique in what they offer along with the type of service and selection of sandwiches, pastries and desserts. I am on a journey around the city to find these extraordinary places.

A wonderful and delicious Sakura Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea experience that has been decorated for the occasion to celebrate the cherry blossom season.

Lawrence joined me and we started off with a selection of teas, I had the feature Cherry Blossom while he had the Sencha Fukujiya Cha.

We were then served a tasty selection of their Raspberry scones with chantilly raspberry jam; and Brioche with sea truffle butter.

A 3-tier set was served to us afterwards that featured the savouries on the bottom and 2 trays (one for each of us) was filled with the delectable sweets by Chef Daria who makes delicious works of art. My favourite from the savoury selection was the Dungeness crab salad, and Onigiri smoked salmon. My favourites from the sweet selection were the Frasier cake, Matcha & Cherry and the Lychee & Lemon cake.

The Sakura Cherry Blossom Afternoon Tea is $75 per person and is available Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon – 2:30pm through to April 14. Reservations are now available and can be made online
