On Thursday September 10th, Two Chefs and a Table played host to an educational evening of wines from the Cotes Du Rhone region of France, paired with foods created by Two Chefs and a Table.
Certified Wine Educator Mireille Sauvé lead the informative evening and tasting, topics covered included the history of the region, common grape varieties, flavor profiles, food pairings and much more.
The tasting dinner gave us media and leading members of the local wine stores a chance to explore the flavours and pairings together. The following wines were served paired with the foods shown in these photos.
Canape paired with a rose Tavel – Lafond Roc Epine – 2008 wine
Appetizer paired with two white wines Luberon Blanc – Perrin – La Vieille Ferme – 2008 and Hermitage Blanc – Cave de Tain – 2003
Second appetizer paired with two red wines Cotes du Rhone Rouge – Chateau Saint-Cosme – 2008 and Cotes du Rhone Villages Seguret – Domaine de Mourchon Grande Reserve – 2006
Main Course paired with two red wines Crozes-Hermitage-Chapoutier – Les Meysonniers – 2007 and Saint-Joseph- Cave de Tain – Esprit de Granit -2003
Dessert paired with a dessert wine Muscat Beaumes-de-Venise – Paul Jaboulet – 2007
