It is not too often you see a chef create 300 new dishes in their restaurant and be bold enough to over a 10 course tasting menu for 30 nights! Chef Jefferson Alvarez takes that step up a notch, yes he was bold enough to do this, and he is doing this as the Executive Chef of Secret Location in Vancouver.

From January 16 onwards for 30 days, Secret Location will be offering a daily changing 10 course tasting menu featuring 3 snacks, 2 appetizers, 2 mains, 1 palate cleanser and 2 desserts. This is quite the fete that Chef Jefferson Alvarez has undertaken, I had a chance to try a few dishes and one of my favourites was the Squash (shown above).

I have been a fan of Chef Alvarez for some time and diners are in for a real treat, think new discoveries, and an experience quite like none you have seen in Vancouver in quite some time.
