Enjoyed a wonderful dinner tasting many of the new summer dishes. Just love the Afghan dishes and the flavours using as much local ingredients as they can at this Mount Pleasant gem.
Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Char Masala; this was definitely one to get if you love brussel sprouts, it has hummus at the bottom of the plate and it’s topped with a beet vinaigrette.
Shor Nakood, Chickpea, Potato, PicklEd peppers; a unique and traditional salad that almost reminds me of a summer soup.
Chilled Eggplant, Black Pepper, Yogurt with the Afghan naan.
Cauliflower, Black Tea-Pickled Raisin, Romesco, Dukkah Spice; another must try dish, the raisins really make this dish and the stand out flavours.
Parwan: Minty pomegranate soda (mocktail) nice and refreshing on a summer day.
Gulrang Rose (mocktail) Jason enjoyed this one that was made with grapefruit.
Spicy Chicken, Gravy, Afghan Naan; and this was so good and wasn’t overly spicy, great flavour and more gravy to pour as you wish.
Lamb Shoulder, Toasted Almond, Chilli; this is a hearty dish for all lamb lovers.
Shir Yakh, qaimaq, pistachio — their yummy Afghan ice cream that dreams are made of.
