3rd Annual Dumpling Fest Vancouver

It was an incredible night as guests travelled around the city visiting restaurants in downtown Vancouver, Yaletown, Kitsilano, South Granville and Mount Pleasant and tasting many different types of dumplings. This was the 3rd Dumpling Fest held on October 6th and presented by Vancouver Foodster. The evening tasting tour provided guests a chance to try many different types of dumplings from a select number of different cultures including Chinese, Indian, Italian, Mexican, and Vietnamese.

At Cold Tea Restaurant they served their Vietnamese and Chinese dumplings, the Cheeky Dumpling – braised beef cheeks, carrot; along with their Spicy Chicken XO Wonton – Chicken wonton, spicy XO sauce, chili oil, scallion, chili threads and a Side of Coconut Noodles.

At Maizal they served their Mexican dumplings, a Mexican Empanada of Chorizo & Potato empanada on a bed of black bean puree.

At Bombay Kitchen & Bar they served their Indian dumplings, their vegetarian Malai Kofta Dumpling Tasting Plate with curry, rice and salad.

At Do Chay Saigon Vegetarian they served their Vietnamese vegetarian dumplings, the Prosperity Dumplings – Squash and onion dumplings, Bún bò Huế broth, green onion, lime leaf oil; and their Quail Egg Dumplings (vegetarian) – Fried quail egg dumplings with coconut curry sauce, chili oil, basil.

At Casereccio Foods they served their Italian dumplings, Meat Ravioli in a alfredo sauce and a suppli (vegetarian rice ball) with a side of marinara sauce.

It was another fun night for everyone to visit the participating restaurants and eat some unique and tasty dumplings.
