Old World Italian: Recipes and Secrets from Our Travels in Italy

As I have always loved Italian cuisine I was happy to learn about Author, Mimi Thorisson’s new Old World Italian cookbook published by Penguin Random House.

Mimi explores the beautiful coasts and country-sides of Italy and features simple, authentic recipes inspired by the country’s devoted producers and rice food heritage.

The book is filled with beautiful photos to go along with the recipes, the book’s chapters are broken down into drinks & starters, Pasta, Meat & Seafood, Vegetables, and Desserts.

Recently I made one of the recipes from the book, the Chickpea Soup with torn pasta.

There are many other tantalizing recipes including the Eggplant Parmigiana on page 81, and the Sage and Walnut Tagliatelle on page 177.

You can get the cookbooks online from Amazon and other bookstores throughout the country.
