Known for their Currywurst this popular eatery features German street food in the heart of Chinatown, it’s a the merging of cultures that makes this eatery hum. In for an early dinner, I had the refreshing Chinatown Ice Tea ($2.50) followed by The Pretzel Board ($9) a large wooden board with a Pretzel, stinky cheesy sauce, a selection of mustards, farmers sausage, Chili smashed cucumber, pickled cabbage, gherkins and Chili onion jam. Then came the delicious dessert which was my original reason for visiting, Pretzel Bread Puddin’ ($5) with cinnamon, raisins, and dolce. De Leche sprinkled with Fleur de sel with a gentle squeeze of orange overtop!
You’ll find a cool room and a menu filled with sausages, fritten, and cheese fries to go along with beer on tap or by the bottle, wine on tap, soda pops, kombucha and ice tea. I can’t wait to return to try their Currywurst!
