Advice: Takes reservations, walk-ins welcome.

Located in Horseshoe Bay, specializing in Italian and Westcoast cuisine, the restaurant boasts one of the nicest views in the area from their outdoor 2nd floor patio. Chef Danillo and his wife Elena, have been running the place ever since taking over from the previous ownership over a year ago. Danillo’s family had a restaurant in Italy where he learned his craft, he then spent a few years working in our local kitchens getting accustomed to our incredible variety of local seafood and ingredients.

House-made bread

French Onion Soup

Seafood Chowder

As we began our meal together, we were served a complimentary basker of house-made bread. I then had the house-made French Onion Soup in a bread bowl, a tasty blend of caramelized onions, baguette croutons and swiss cheese to start while my friend Lawrence had the Seafood Chowder which was filled with seafood and creamy.

Plin

Fagotini

Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli

We then shared a few of their house-made pasta dishes, the Plin filled with beef, pork and rabbit, was unique and delicious; the Fagotini stuffed with salmon, prawns, and ricotta, made with buckwheat flour in a sage butter sauce was exquisite and flavourful; the Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli in a tomato sauce was bright and fresh.

Rack of Lamb

Rack of Lamb with a red wine sauce, served with vegetables and purple potato, was next and the presentation was incredible as it was served on a wooden tree stump type of plate.

Tiramisu

For dessert, the Tiramisu in a flower pot to share, was a yummy creation layered with sponge cake infused with coffee, mascarpone and chocolate shavings.

The restaurant offers a daily High Tea every afternoon which makes for a great stop when heading to or from one of the islands on the nearby ferries. They also offer a selection of pizzas, soups, salads and so much more for their lunch and dinner menus, this is a gem worth the drive from the North shore or the city.
