I indulged in their Sakura Afternoon Tea last week celebrating the Japanese cherry blossom season with a delightful array of savoury and sweet treats accompanied by some of their special teas.
An ode to spring, the Sakura Tea Service is an elegant Tea Service offering Japanese fusions infused with TWG Tea’s spring teas. Served on a glass platter, this Tea Service is a sharing plate for two which offers light savouries and sweets sprinkled with edible flowers.
I enjoyed both the seasonal Sakura Tea as well as the stronger White Spring Tea, both paired well with the Savoury delights on the platter.
The Savouries included the delicious Miso-Maple Glazed Sablefish in Butter Lettuce, Tokyo-Singapore Tuna Tartar, Rosette of Smoked Salmon with Wasabi Mayo and the flavourful Wagu Beef Yakitori. The Sweets offerings included the delicious Weekend In Venice Strawberry Tart, Strawberry Tuxedo, TWG Tea Macaron, Sakura! Sakura! Tea Caviar Beads Wrapped In Melon.
This special Sakura Tea service runs through to the end of April and is $42 per person (minimum 2 people). Make your reservations soon and enjoy this years Sakura celebration.
