On April 11, I attended the opening night dinner party picnic style at Second Nature located upstairs at Graze Vegetarian Restaurant on Fraser.

Upstairs from the original Graze Restaurant, rain or shine, their shiny new food truck is now serving up summer BBQ favourites while their beach bar is slinging refreshing cocktails in their newly created indoor park. I sat at a picnic table, while others sat back in a deck chair out on the dock, as others were seated in the deep grass of the raised meadow that meanders the entire length of the space.

I ate my way thru the eats, from the Veggie Burger with all the fixins’ and delicious coleslaw, to the delicious BBQ Tofu and hand-cut fries, to the tasty Cauliflower Buffalo Skewers and a delicious apple pie for dessert.

Every seat in the house boasts a great view of the live entertainment as well as the 35-foot double-wide projection wall that serves to bring some of the outdoors, indoors.

The theme of the Second Nature food truck menu will be entirely reinvented every 6-8 weeks, it begins now as a Summer BBQ party.

You can visit Second Nature at 3980 Fraser Street (upstairs) in Vancouver. Call them at 604-620-8822 and follow on Twitter @GrazeVegetarian
