Maenam: A Fresh Approach to Thai Cooking recently released by Chef Angus An is this beautiful cookbook that celebrates Thai cooking.
More than 100 flavor-driven Thai recipes built on technique, balance, tradition, and innovation from award-winning chef Angus An and Published by Appetite – Random House.
I love the different chapters in the book from the section of Snacks to the section on Noodles and One-Bowl Meals where you will find recipes for their Pad Si Ew and Pad Thai respectively.
Other chapters feature Soups where the Southern-style Grilled Fish Soup looks particularly delightful. There is a chapter on Salads as well as Stir-Fries; and another on Curries which includes a delicious sounding Panaeng Curry of Braised Beef Rib as well as the Green Curry of Halibut.
I love the feature on Curry Pastes with a selection of recipes to create the various curry pastes. There are also chapters on Desserts as well as Condiments and even Cocktails. There is also an Ingredient Glossary towards the back of the book which will be most helpful for all cooks.
The book is now available at bookstores nation wide including Amazon.
