What is Mumgry? Well that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw a jar of this brand on the Dank Mart’s Instagram recently. The product looked and sounded great, I love almond butter and I love chocolate, I then set-out to research and learn more about these nut butters. Turns out Mumgry is locally based and created by Lilian Umurungi, a mom who was hungry and searching for good for you snacks for her to eat while pregnant, this is how Mumgry came to be.
Mumgry nut butters are delicious, I have fallen in love with all 3, each one is special and good for you too. The 3 varieties that I have tried are the Pistachio Chocolate Almond Butter, the Chocolate Peanut butter and the Smooth Peanut butter. I picked up a brioche type of Danish bread to test out with these nut butters and each slice and each bite was delicious. Mumgry is locally handcrafted, ethically sourced, naturally nutritious and beautifully designed to enjoy on your own at breakfast or to snack on throughout the day. I ran out of bread so the next best thing is a spoon serving of the nut butter to snack on.
You can find the Mumgry jars at select stores around the city that include Dank Mart on Main Street, Stongs on Dunbar, Larry’s Market in North Vancouver, C Market Coffee in Coquitlam and more stores across the city and across the country.
You can also order directly from their website and if you purchase over 3 jars they will deliver to you for free in Vancouver. You can find them on instagram @mumgry
