Cooking at Home with Manna Meals

Lasagna

Last month we had a chance to experience Manna Meals at home. I was excited to try this Plant-based meal kit service which is different than many of the other local meal kit companies. Much like some of the other meal kit companies they have created a selection of their own recipes to make it easy for home cooks to make the dishes in approx. 15 mins.

As most know I am not vegan, but I do believe that incorporating plant based foods into your diet is a good idea. Each of their meal kits come with 3 pre-packages of cooked ingredients that are neatly organized for a grab-and-go cooking experience in 3 steps while following along with a fantastic video and QR code which is attached to each bag.

Chef & Founder Marie Grapé of MANNA | Sacred Meals has gone from a meat-heavy diet to plant-forward. The prices vary for single vs two servings of the weekly meals.

Most of their plant-based meals are portioned for one, delivered each week.  Your meals will automatically follow the “Chef’s Selection” rotating schedule, however after placing your order you will be able to choose your own meals for the week from the ‘Account’ tab.  See the Menu section of our website for the current active meal schedule.  Ideal for Vegan, Vegetarian, Flexitarian and Pescatarian diets.

I cooked up 4 meals over the week, my favourite was the Roasted Vegetable Lasagna followed by the Cauliflower Steak with potatoes and vegetables.

The other meals that I made were the Japchae; and the Kebabs with lemon potatoes and salad.
