In this ongoing series I will be featuring all sorts of patio dining experiences from small restaurants with one table on their patio, to large restaurants with multiple tables on the patio, to hidden patios, and ones with unique patio configurations that have been created during the covid19 pandemic.
Here is one of the patio dining meals that I have experienced recently.
Patio Dining at Glowbal Restaurant
Enjoyed a delicious lunch on the covered patio yesterday sharing a selection of dishes and desserts with Lawrence. This restaurant features a large enclosed covered patio with several tables that are distanced for an enjoyable dining experience.
Ahi Tuna Salad
sesame crusted ahi tuna, salad greens, orange, radish, cucumber, carrot & ginger dressing, wonderful flavours and very nice presentation of this dish for sharing.
Tomato and Burrata Salad
heirloom tomatoes, arugula, extra virgin olive oil, with candied pecans.
Pan Roasted Halibut
lemon, capers, homemade gnocchi, brown butter foam, this was a stunning dish and perfect for summer.
Lamb Shank – slow braised, buttermilk mashed potatoes, market vegetables, red wine sauce; a hearty comforting dish.
Short Rib Pappardelle
6-hour braised beef short rib in red wine, wild mushrooms, roasted pine nuts, wilted spinach, sundried tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, a comforting and delicious dish.
Brussels Sprouts
parmesan, capers, lemon, chili flakes; one of my favourite vegetable sides here at Glowbal.
Summer Berry Crumble with vanilla ice cream, this was phenomenal, loved the bottom pastry and the berry and crumble that filled the inside, served warm to the table and topped with the vanilla ice cream.
Chocolate brownie with Salted Caramel ice cream, a favourite for chocoholics.
For ordering they have implemented a new system where you look at their menus by QR Code that you will find on each table, this new feature has been designed to keep customers safe without having to touch the menus. They take reservations as well as accept walk-ins. They are open for Lunch and dinner daily with brunch offered as well on the weekends.
