On Sunday May 16 Chef William Tse of Golfish Pacific Kitchen hosted the annual fundraiser to benefit the Vancouver Friends for Life Society. Guests paid $350 each to attend this star chef studded event that featured some of the top chefs in the city who prepared an exquisite twelve course sit-down meal.
At the reception I mingled with a few of the chefs and tasted some of their appetizers including Chef Vikram Vij and his delicious Beef Tartare that was spiced with garam masala; Chef Frank Pabst and his Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese stacks on Pumpernickel crumble which looked like a beautiful garden. Chef Robert Belcham served a charcuterie plate and Chef Ernst Dorfler served a Cheese Ravioli with Truffle oil.
Guests were able to bid on fine and rare wines, getaway trips to exotic destinations and more in the silent auction. The event raised $100,000 to support The Vancouver Friends for Life Society’s programs.
