

Over the years, The Joy of Feeding that was founded by Chef Meeru Dhalwala had been one of my favourite food events and this past weekend after a long hiatus it returned to Ubc Farm the organization that it supports.
In the past Joy of Feeding had celebrated home cooks from around the city who were of different cultural backgrounds. For this year’s event Meeru told me she wanted to celebrate the local chefs who work in the restaurant industry locally to celebrate them for surviving and struggling through the pandemic. Each of these chefs featured their family dish of their cultural heritage for the 350 guests who attended this wonderful event on a beautiful day.
Many of the chefs had their families working with them in serving the food, kids, parents and other family members were all involved, this was wonderful to see making for a memorable event.

I tasted my way around the multiple tents enjoying the food and drink, while seeing many foodie friends.

It was another foodie extravaganza and it was wonderful, proceeds of the event were going to support UBC Farm and the great work that they do.
