Cook More, Waste Less Cookbook

This new cookbook by Christine Tizzard was recently published by Appetite by Random House.

An indispensable and timely cookbook offering easy, everyday solutions to a problem every home cook faces: food waste, and 100 delicious and flexible recipes to get the most of your food.

Cook More, Waste Less offers accessible solutions to a problem every home cook faces: waste. From grocery shopping tips to pantry storage ideas, this book is packed with strategies to get the most out of your food, whether it”s fresh or frozen, ingredients a little past their prime, or leftovers.

As the book is about less waste and using up items you have on hand at home, you can always make ingredient substitutions if need be. I love the chapter on Zero-Waste Kitchen Basics that you find at the beginning of the book; this provides good tips to the various recipes that you would make from the recipe categories. The Zero Waste Herbs feature on page 38 is another good feature.

I made one tasty recipe from the book, the Neptune’s Pasta on page 119.

You can get the cookbooks online from Amazon and other bookstores throughout the country.
