In this ongoing series I will be featuring restaurants and cafés that do not have the ability to provide outside patio space due to their locations. Some of these restaurants had temporarily closed during the covid19 pandemic and others had offered takeout and delivery. Now that they have passed the reopening phase, they are excited to welcome guests to return to dine in.
Here is one of the restaurant meals that I have experienced recently.
Dining Inside Mi Casa Mexicana
Enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant recently which specializes in Mexican fare. The Kitsilano neighborhood restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the corner building with no option of creating a patio or providing outdoor seating. One flight of stairs from a side or front entrance and then you are inside the restaurant where the tables are spaced 2 metres a part for distanced seating following the governments protocols.
Suadero Taco – Mexico City soft taco, juicy braised beef, onion, cilantro, cucumber, lime & salsa verde on handmade corn tortillas from locally based Metate Bake Shop.
Tacos: Pastor and Chicken
Tacos: Pastor & Birria
Pastel de Elote — sweet corn cake
Mi Casa Mexicana
2015 Burrard Street, Vancouver
Open: Thursday – Sunday 2pm – 7pm, Friday – Saturday 2pm – 9pm
Stay tuned for the next feature in my Dining In series.
