It’s been more than a few years since I last tasted through their popular Steak Masters feature at Chop Steakhouse. This time around I was invited to their Coal Harbour location to try out this feature menu by Chop’s Executive Chef Stephen Clark.
Making for a great date night experience Lawrence joined me to experience this together.
1st dish
Roasted Bone Marrow – goat cheese crostini, chimichurri, pickled red onions and arugula salad
2nd dish
Black Truffle Butter Sirloin – 7oz top sirloin, beef tallow smashed potatoes, wild mushrooms
3rd dish
Slow Braised Bone-In Short Rib – spicy Gochujang glaze, scallions & white sesame, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables
4th dish
Basque Cheesecake – deeply caramelized exterior, creamy custard centre, passion fruit coulis
My personal favorite was their Black Truffle Butter Sirloin steak and the Beef tallow smashed potatoes, and I suppose everyone will have their own favourite.
Although they feature some wine suggestions for pairing we went the Mocktails route and the Berry mocktail was the favourite for both of us.
The Steak Masters menu is available through to the Spring at Chop Steakhouse in Coal Harbour, if you wish to visit this location, you can find them at 1055 Canada Place in downtown Vancouver or call them at (604) 306-2222
