First Taste of La Bottega di Mangia

One of my favourite Italian restaurants Mangia Cucina has just opened an Italian market and eatery in Yaletown. This venture is owned by partners, Executive Chef Alessandro Riccobono and Ricardo.

The focus here is on top-notch Italian foods imported from Italy, packaged food and drink from Sicily as well as other regions across the country. You will find popular items such as Parmigiana Reggiano, San Marzano tomatoes, and balsamic vinegar from Modena. Dried pasta from a company that has been making pasta for over 500 years; plus an extensive selection of gluten-free pasta. There are also many more speciality items such as Truffle oils, and truffles.

The shop also features an array of hand-made pasta and sauces to eat inside as well as to go to make at home or from the freezers; prepared in-house by Executive Chef Alessandro Riccobono. Additionally, they are offering a selection of panini, some cookies and other desserts, meats, cheeses and more.

I have tried a selection of their made in house items
