Arancina Bomba
This charming house is the setting for this Italian cuisine focussed eatery run by Sicilian born Chef Allessandro who’s menu is filled with favourite dishes from all over Italy. I have visited a few times since opening earlier this fall, started off one of the meals with this outstanding Arancina Bomba, a saffron risotto ball stuffed with mozzarella served with a pistachio pesto.

The Polpette al Sugo are all beef meatballs in a tomato sauce and this is a great dish for all those that can’t eat pork; the Tricolour Salad with tomato and mozzarella was another standout.
Ravioli all”aragoasta”
Risotto Funghi Porcini
The Ravioli all”aragoasta” is filled with lobster and was my favourite pasta dish; I also had a chance to try the very rich Risotto Funghi Porcini; both paired well with the Scalia rosso -2015.

I had one of their stone oven baked Margherita Pizza’s which was a tasty pie to round out the savoury options, the crust was done to perfection.

For dessert, my favourite of the two that I tried was the Pistachio Eclair filled with strawberry jam and pistachio cream; along with the Lemon Tart; both paired well with a glass of the Amaro Montenegro.
Take friends, take family and truly enjoy the wonderful food and experience time and time again at this gem in the Mount Pleasant neiborhood.
