First Taste of Capo and the Spritz

Specializing in Italian cuisine featuring inventive cocktails and pizzas; this restaurant and cocktail bar is a partnership between Autostrada Hospitality and OPUS Vancouver.

Autostrada Hospitality co-founders Dustin Dockendorf and Chef Lucais Syme are working with OPUS Vancouver and the focus on Neapolitan inspired pizza and other Italian favourites are led by Restaurant Chef, Travis McCord. Kaitlyn Stewart, a former winner of “Diego World Class Competition,” is Bar Director.

PIZZA, BIRRA, VINO and SPRITZ conceptually represent CAPO and the Spritz. A relaxed atmosphere and beautifully curated interior design by St. Marie ART + DESIGN Founder, Craig Stanghetta, lends the perfect modern casual backdrop to Yaletown’s newest dining and drinking space. Formerly OPUS BAR, The Spritz is Canada’s first spritz bar of its kind.

I have tried a selection of items off the dinner menu along with a couple non-spirit cocktails from the bar which includes

Triciclo – lumettei, stappi, Soda, lemon sorbet (non spirit cocktail); Radiccio Salad with arugula, apple, hazelnut, lemon dressing; Shrooms Pizza with funghi, taleggio, kale, honey, black pepper (bianco); Too Good Pizza with Burrata, Biscay Anchovies, basil; Prendimi, Please! Float – cold brew, brio soda, orange bitters topped with a scoop of Cherry Garcia (non spirit cocktail); and the Tiramisu.

Capo and the Spritz is located at 322 Davie Street in the Yaletown neighborhood of downtown Vancouver. You can follow them on instagram @capoandspritz
