I was invited in to preview Executive Chef Karl Gregg’s Dine Out Vancouver dinner menu of their 3 course $28 prix fixe as their dine out menu was one of my picks in this years festival. The dishes shown below were my favourites from the 4 course menu that I tried.
1st Course Appetizer
Tomato Caprese Salad
windset farm tomato, bocconcini, balsamic crema and fresh basil
The other dish on offer from the Appetizer selection.
Arancini
sicilian risotto balls
with mikuni wild mushrooms, grano padano parmesan
and house-made aioli
2nd Course Appetizer
Veal Ravioli
housemade ravioli, fresh basil, ricotta, and organic tomato sauce

Saltspring Mussels
italian sausage, concerto tomato, garlic, white wine, basil, and grilled filone
3rd Course Entree
Jumbo Shrimp Scampi
lemon mascarpone cream, garlic, and shallots

Bistecca Pomodoro
pan seared medallions of triple A beef, café de paris butter, broccolini,
with spaghetti pomodoro
Marsala Chicken
rossdown chicken breast, marsala wine, mushroom sauce,
with seasonal vegetables and fingerling potato
4th Course Dessert which is an optional add-on course
Signature Tiramisu +$5
Frankie’s house-made version of the classic venetian dessert
with mascarpone cheese, espresso dipped lady fingers and heavy cream
Frankie’s Italian Kitchen Dine Out Vancouver promotion runs thru February 1st.
Reservations for Dine Out are now being accepted via phone at 604-688-6368. Frankie’s Italian Kitchen and Bar is located at 765 Beatty Street in downtown Vancouver and they are open for dinner from 5pm nightly.
