Executive Chef Faizal Kassam and Robert Stelmachuk General Manager & Wine Director have created a lunch menu filed with Italian delights that match a comprehensive wine list that touches on not only Italian wines but others that connect well with the dishes. I finally had a chance to experience Chef Faizal’s food over lunch with my friend and fellow food writer Lindsay William-Ross.
We enjoyed sharing the Duck Confit Salad with watercress, sunchokes, duck confit salad pickled blueberries, ciccoli; along with the Calabrian Arancini and Polenta to start.
They offer a great selection of pastas during lunch as well and we had two of them, sharing both, my favourite was the fresh Ravioli Red Kurri Squash, ricotta, chili, marjor fresh ravioli am, amaretti which was divine over the Stracci Verde braised lamb neck, aperol, olives, pecor stracci verde ino.
The Brick Chicken with squash, rapini, chopped hazelnuts was my favourite dish of the meal. Followed it up with their Chocolate Flourless Cake.
