Afternoon Tea is an art and should be an extraordinary experience one that you will cherish. Vancouver has some wonderful places for you to indulge in an Afternoon Tea experience. Each of the places is unique in what they offer along with the type of service and selection of sandwiches, pastries and desserts. I am on a journey around the city to find these extraordinary places.
This tea service is a wonderful way to celebrate the Fleurs de Villes NOËL festival that is on now through to December 19 all over downtown Vancouver including Holt’s Cafe inside Holt Renfrew.
I enjoyed this afternoon tea experience on my own and you can do the same or you can have a friend or family member join you.
I started off this tea adventure by selecting the tea that I wanted to try from the Sloan Tea selection, I started with a pot of hot Oolong Crème tea.
I then indulged with a selection of savouries and sweets served on a three-tiered platter.
My favourites from the savoury plate was the Sablefish Brandade Blini, and Gyu-Katzu Sando.
I loved the Orange Ginger Scones with preserves and Chantilly.
From the selections of sweets my favourites were the Tiramisu Parfait, Beignet and the Pumpkin cheesecake.
This special Fleurs de Villes NOËL Afternoon Tea runs through to December 19 and is $55 per person. Make reservations at least one day in advance. Holt’s Café is located on the 2nd floor inside Holt Renfrew at 737 Dunsmuir St in downtown Vancouver.
