Patio Dining at Cold Tea Restaurant

In this ongoing series I will be featuring all sorts of patio dining experiences from small restaurants with one table on their patio, to large restaurants with multiple tables on the patio, to hidden patios, and ones with unique patio configurations that have been created during the covid19 pandemic.

Here is one of the patio dining meals that I have experienced recently.

Patio Dining at Cold Tea Restaurant

Enjoyed a tasty dinner on the outside patio recently. This restaurant features an enclosed somewhat secluded patio in the back of the restaurant with seating for 40, plants and candle lanterns throughout.

It’s full service dining with a focus on Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine and cocktails.

We both enjoyed some refreshing beverages to start, I had the Bottled Rose Sangria while Lawrence had the Julius Orange (a non spirit cocktail).

We shared the refreshing Green Papaya Salad which is one of my favourite dishes here with Beef jerky, green papaya, cucumber, red bell peppers, cilantro, mint, Thai basil, sweet and sour fish sauce (GF)

Loved this new dish, Cheeky Dumplings – (5 pieces) braised beef cheeks, carrot

Another favourite is the Coconut Noodles with Tofu, rice noodles, coconut milk, fresh herbs, cucumber (V)(GF)

Another delicious new dish, the Dirty Chairman — (5 pieces ) AFC fried chicken dumpling, jalapenos, roasted yam, chicken chicharon, pho gravy, scallions

Lawrence loved the Wake and Bake Sub with Pate, lap cheong, 2 fried free-range egg, picked carrots and daikon, cucumber, cilantro, sriracha mayo

Lawrence also loved this new vegan dish, the Zoomers Dumplings (4 pieces) 5 types of mushrooms, bok choy, bean thread

We shared the Sweet & Sour Tamarind Whole Fish – Whole rockfish, peppers, onions, pineapple, scallions, cilantro, tamarind sauce

We shared Two Pieces AFC Fried Chicken with a side of 3 grain rice and pho gravy
