Recently I attended a dinner at Hawksworth Restaurant that featured the Woodford Reserve line-up of whiskey’s paired with wonderful dishes from Hawksworth’s chefs team.
It was great to see and hear the Woodford Reserve brand ambassador Taylor Corrigan again, I had learned a lot from him last year about the Woodford Reserve brand, this time around he talked about each of the cocktails that we were about to taste and how the spirit was used in each cocktail by Fraser Crawford, Bar Manager of Hawksworth Restaurant.

1st Pairing;
Smoked Sablefish Salad, chicory, pear, puffed grains; so fresh and flavourful; paired with the Woodford Res, bitter Bianco, orgeat, lemon, ginger beer.
2nd Pairing:
Beretta Beef duo, aged striploin, braised brisket, beef fat pomme purée, roasted sunchoke, truffle jus; perfect pairing of the tender beef with the Raspberry Shrub cocktail of Woodford Res, Punta e mes, raspberry shrub, absinthe.
Dessert:
Apple, pecan, Tonka, milk chocolate
Woodford Reserve is based in Kentucky and is widely available throughout British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario area liquor stores as well as fine restaurants.
