I toured Canada’s first vegan Ice Cream shop recently it is located a block away from the Yaletown Canada Line station.
Owned by Chris White who founded the company; Jocelyn Heinrichs is the flavour creation and product tester manager.
Nice Vice is Vancouver’s first ever 0% dairy, plant-based micro creamery. Their vice cream is organic, and dairy, soy, allergen, GMO, and cholesterol-free! Their ingredients include fresh fruit, natural colours and flavours, and locally supported plant-based products.
I have tasted my way through some of the offerings including tasting most of their vice creams, such as the Strawberry topped with chocolate sauce and enhanced with the espresso salt; I have also tried their delicious Chocolate Brownie vanilla ice cream sandwiches that are both gluten free and vegan. Asides from the selection of gluten free sauces, they also offer a line-up of salts from The Salt Dispensary which are optional designed to enhance the flavours and the selection matches each of their flavours.
Nice Vice Cream is now open at 1022 Mainland in the Yaletown neighborhood of Vancouver. You can follow them on twitter @nicevicecream
