It was my first time to Wellbrook Winery this past Sunday for the 20th annual FarmFolk CityFolk’s, Metro Vancouver Feast of Fields, this was my 5th Feast of Fields It was a beautiful day with a great crowd of passionate people out to enjoy an afternoon of eating, drinking and listening to music!
I loved the delicious Krause Berry Farm locally roasted corn on the cob smothered in their own blueberry butter; chatting it up with David of Powell Street Brewery then tasting Lolitas Ground beef and chorizo Tacos; a couple of glasses of the Salt Spring Coffee Cold Brew had awakened my senses for the rest of the afternoon, the white bean spread from Whole Foods was delicious, as was the Angus Beef Brisket from Chef Allesandro at ARC dining ; Chef Karen of Graze Vegetarian Restaurant was all smiles; the Exile Bistro vegetables were colourful and The Kolach Flatbread from Terra Breads topped with pistachio almond granola was outstanding.
The setting for this years festival couldn’t have been any better, the site was set up with 3 sections of tents spread across the property with happy chefs and everyone loving the tastes and treats.
Here are some of the many dishes that I enjoyed at this year’s feast,
Wellbrook Winery was the host of this years festival, located in Delta. The Old Grainery Store provides a turn-of-the-century atmosphere where you can sample our distinctive quality fruit wines.
This was my fifth visit to Feast of Fields, see my previous feast’s here in 2013 2012 2011 and 2009. This wonderful annual event is organized byFarm Folk City Folk and is their annual fundraiser.
I am already looking forward to attending next year’s event.
