Lukes General Store full_dark

Calgary-based retailer Lukes is launching their first Vancouver venture with a pop-up project in Chinatown focussed on serving Stumptown, the Pacific Northwest roast whose unique quality and practices has earned it a cult-like status among coffee lovers. Lukes was the first company to launch Stumptown in Alberta and continues to successfully sell the product in massive numbers, making it their largest retailer in Canada.

Lukes in Chinatown will feature a custom made barista cart inset with a Marzocco espresso machine and a tap for serving Stumptown’s famous cold brew. In addition, all baristas working at Lukes have had extensive training at the Stumptown’s Seattle roasting house. Lukes will also carry a wide selection of Stumptown wholesale beans (roasted and delivered weekly from Seattle) as well as additional product lines including: Mast Brothers Chocolate, Malin + Goetz Apothecary, Baxter of California Shaving, Meow Meow Tweet, Juniper Ridge, and Portland General Store. Altogether, the set-up of will be a great fit for the setting, which is inside the Space Lab, a proprietor of some of the most interesting furnishings and art in Vancouver.

Lukes General Store officially opens on February 20th with a  party at the Space Lab (126 E.Pender).
