I have eaten a lot of dishes inside and outside Vancouver restaurants in the past year, these are dishes that are standouts, ones that you remember for a long time to come. This list is devoted to my favourite dishes that I have eaten in 2022 at restaurants that are still open to this day.

Sable Fish Papillote
A stunning dish made with a French cooking technique with sablefish, baby zucchini. kobucha squash. nasturtium. salmon roe. herb spätzle and miso glaze; by chefs Clement Chan and Sandy Chen.
Red Curry Duck Confit
Whole marinated Two Rivers duck leg sous vide on top of a savoury, creamy red curry with lychee, addictive flavours; by Chef Warakorn Suriyawong.
Pistachio Pesto Pizza
An outstanding 14″ inch pizza with a pistachio pesto base topped with fior di latte, DOP parmigiano, ricotta cheese, rosemary, crushed pistachio, and chili infused honey
This beloved sweet and sour Persian stew is made with a base of walnuts and pomegranate molasses and I often had it with chicken at Persian restaurants around the city Chef Bardia Ilbeiggi’s version was with duck breast that was aged for 2 weeks and seasoned with rose petals and golpar, he gets the skin crispy and serves them on top of the delicious fesenjoon. The dish was served with crispy saffron rice and it was incredible.
Dungeness Crab Tortellini
House-made Tortellini stuffed with Dungeness Crab in a Lobster Cream Sauce; exquisite pasta with a delicious sauce; by Chef Behshad Zolnasr.
An outstanding sourdough pizza with red sauce, mozzarella, Spanish chorizo, Manchego, slow roasted potatoes, caramelized onions; along with their house-made Hot Honey Dip.
This house-made gnocchi comes with a delicous lamb stew, chillies, sour cream and pickles.
#A6- Nem cua biển HP
A Northern Vietnamese specialty from the Hai Phong region where the owner is from. This outstanding dish is one of their signatures; Square crab spring rolls mixed with crab meat, ground pork, shrimps, eggs, mushrooms, glass noodles, vegetables, served with homemade fish sauce.
As part of their Dry Aged Experience tasting menu, with 2GR Wagyu 6oz, topped with Foie Gras, Half Lamb Rack and Speckled Chestnut Mushrooms served with green peppercorn morel sauce; a delicious dish by Chef Will Lew.
The Sweet & Spicy Pizza
This pizza has a Squash base topped with gorgonzola, spicy nduja sausage, basilico, pecorino, and mozzarella; this was outstanding, loved the flavours and the perfect crust.

A flavourful Turkish dip with pomegranate molasses/urfa pepper with Elma bread by Chef Derek Ingram; delicious dish.
