Welcome to the next Vancouver Foodster Iced Summer Drink Challenge. I have invited cafes from all over the city to enter their Iced Summer Drink creations into this challenge, some have entered their most popular creation from their menu and others created a special Iced Summer Drink creation just for this challenge. Each cafe will be featuring their special creation on their menu from July 7 – 31, 2022.
How Does this all Work? For the public challenge, you are invited to go out and order any or all of the Iced Summer Drink creations in this challenge, then you decide who you think has the best creation for the People’s Choice award winners.
Share your experiences: Share your photos on Instagram and TikTok throughout the challenge, our instagram and TikTok address is @vanfoodster and the hashtag is #IcedSummerDrinkChallengeYVR please include this hashtag in all your social media sharing during the challenge.
Voting criteria – some things to help you judge your favourite iced summer drink creations – keep these things in mind: originality, creativity, uniqueness, traditional, non-traditional, price, value and most importantly taste.

- Look for our Iced Summer Drink challenge posters at each of the participating cafes,.
- Scan the QR code and Vote for your favourites from July 7-31, 2022.
Get some friends together and visit 2 places or more to taste the different Iced Summer Drink creations or go solo or with a friend– just remember to VOTE for your favourites

Iced Sencha Tea with Kinome and Guava

Description: Cold brewed sencha green tea shaken with lightly salted fresh guava puree and topped with a foamed kinome infusion. Kinome are the young leaves of the Japanese sansho pepper tree and they have a very distinctive herbal/citrusy aroma.
