It had been a couple of years since I dined inside, takeout during the pandemic wasn’t the same. With Chef Vish Mayekar having joined the team a few months back, this gave me a chance for a revisit to try a selection of new dishes that he had added to the menu.
Garlic Cheesy Bread, this one is a classic that I’m almost certain will never change.
Chopped Iceberg Salad, Peperoncino, Italian Dressing, Olives, Macedonian Feta, tasty salad with a different presentation.
Gnocchi alla Genovese with it’s creamy pesto, loved this dish that Chef Vish recently perfected.
Linguine alle Vongole another tweaked dish that is loaded with clams.
Meat Ravioli, meat sauce, this takes the Chef Boyardee classic to who different level and it was outstanding.
Lasagna al Formaggio, Bolognese, with besciamella, ricotta, and smoked provolone; layers of deliciousness.
Cherry Coke Baby Back Ribs with a side of Roasted Asparagus; another new dish from Chef Vish, tender meat that falls of the bone that is full of flavour.
THE BIG ELOTE! signature Detroit-style pie – deep dish with a crispy crust and caramelized cheese edges – topped with fresh marinara, quattro formaggio blend, Cotija cheese, sweet local corn, and spicy chorizo; and finished with house chipotle aioli, cilantro and a lime wedge.
Tiramisu a classic dessert here that I’m almost certain will never change.
