This year the Jewish festival of Chanukah is celebrated December 12 – 20, this is an 8 day Jewish holiday that celebrates the miracle of light, it is a joyous festival of lights. People celebrate by lighting the menorah, playing dreidel games, and eating festive foods including Potato Latkes, and Jelly Donuts.
We talked about the festival on @CKNW #BestandtheFoodiest with a special guest, my 6 yr old nephew who joined me and Lynda Steele to talk and taste Sufganiyot (Jelly donuts) and Potato Latkes! LISTEN here
The Sufganiyot and Potato Latkes that we tasted on the radio were from Sabra Kosher Bakery, their donuts range from $1.95 -$2.50 each; and their latkes are $2.50 each.
