It has been awhile since I had the Tasting Menu at Bauhaus, the Executive Chefs Tim Schultechef and David Mueller launched their summer tasting menu which I had a chance to try. I enjoyed their collaborative 6 course menu ($99) with wine pairings (extra $79) .
1st course

Cold Leek Soup
Cold Leek Soup, Vichyssoise style with seared Salmon and Potato ice cream, potato crumble, leek, pickled vegetables stunning dish on the summer men
Wine pairing with: Domane Wachau, Terrassen Smaragd, 2013 (Austria), Gruner Veltliner
2nd course

Goat Cheese Spinach Agnolotti
Goat Cheese Spinach Agnolotti with summer squash zucchini, sunflower seed purée
Wine pairing with: Kunstler, 2015 Chardonnay (Germany), Limestone
3rd course

Tuna
Tuna with Avocado creme, kelp, rice chips, sesame, Mango, apple
Sake pairing with: Hakutsuru Jumai (Japan)
4th course

Beef shortrib on a Sweet Corn purée
Beef shortrib on a Sweet Corn purée, with torched baby corn and chanterelles, salted and caramelized popcorn with a Barbq style sauce an incredibly delicious dish which paired perfectly with this wine.
Wine pairing with: Two Hands, 2014 Shiraz (Australia), McLaren Vale
5th course

Duck done 2 ways,
Duck done 2 ways, the breast and the leg, with fois gras, Beetroot, charred onions, and blackberries; loved the various components and how they all played well together
Wine pairing with: Brunello di Motalcino 2011 (Italy) Verbena
6th course

Carrot cake and Orange,
Carrot cake and Orange, topped with a cream cheese foam and carrot tops; loved this dish, so creative with the vegetable garden in mind
Wine pairing with: La Stella 2016 (Okanagan, BC) Moscato D’Osoyoos
