Exploring and Eating in Montreal

I recently returned to Montreal for what turned out to be quite the snowy and cold week.

Started my eating adventure for dinner on a very cold snowy night at Épicerie Pumpui with the Herbal cabbage and carrots Salad and the Massaman curry with chicken.

The next day I took an Uber over to the Saint-Henri neighbourhood to do some exploring but first stood in line outside of Cafe September and once inside had a delicious breakfast having the signature Halloumi toast and a Cortado.

I then headed over to stroll through Marche Atwater which was filled with all sorts of maple specialties and so much more.

Later on I was back at my hotel and had a craving for some dumplings, thankfully there was a great spot a couple blocks away so I walked over to Mai Xiang Dumpling and got an order of their handmade steamed Chicken and Coriander dumplings for takeout to eat in my hotel room.

Another cold, snowy day another Uber and this time I headed to the Mile End neighbourhood for lunch to Chez Greenberg, a popular Jewish deli where I had a bowl of their Matzah Ball soup. One thing that I discovered was that their broth is vegan and the matzah ball is vegetarian.

The next night one of my local friends joined me in the Outremont neighbourhood at one of my favourite restaurants that I discovered on my previous trip. Here we were at Damas, a high end Syrian restaurant for a tasty dinner; Tara and I each had the Shai Glace mocktails to start. We shared the Metze platter with 4 dips and the best pita along with a Fattoush salad.

I had the Shish Taouk while Tara had the Lamb shank. We both shared the very indulgent Chocolate halvah ice cream.

I found a great cafe near my hotel called Mintar and I visited the next morning for a Cortado.

I visited a few other spots for mostly takeout that included Dunns Famous, Lolas and a couple of others.
