The Vancouver Foodster Stacked Sandwich Challenge was a huge success featuring creations from restaurants around Vancouver. Each restaurant featured their stacked sandwich creation from September 10-30, 2015. Our media judging panel determined the ultimate winners of the challenge, and this was quite the task as each judge who tasted each creation with a rigorous process based on taste, originality/uniqueness and presentation/appearance.

Description: Solly’s Delicious stacked sandwich Eggel starts with a Solly’s “Brooklyn Style” Boiled Pumpernickel Marble bagel, toasted and buttered and topped with a poached fresh egg, a slice of tomato and a generous topping of Dijon. The tomato is topped with a large 150 gram portion of locally cured absolutely delicious steamed Corned Beef and a generous piece of cheddar cheese which is melted over. To top things off, a Hot Crunchy Home fried Solly’s ‘Latkeh’ (Jewish Style Potato Pancake) a few slices of Kosher style Garlic pickle and, of course, the Toasted buttered top of the Pumpernickel Bagel. All this is served with potato chips and a pickle. A mouthful worth waiting for !
