Fall Menu Lunch Tasting at Market

I was into Market at the Shangri-la Hotel to taste their Fall Menu last week, I tried some of the new dishes Chef Chef De Cuisine, Montgomery Lau has on the menu.

First dish was the Tuna Tartare, Avocado, Spicy Radish, Ginger Dressing

Second dish was the Dungeness Black Pepper Crab Fritters, Asian Pear and Endive with pepper jam

Third dish was the Pacific Ling cod topped with Honshimeji Mushrooms in broth

Fourth dish was the Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar with salted caramel ice cream

My take:

It was nice to see freshly house baked rolls (selection changes daily) served to guests as they are seated. The Tuna Tartare was delicious with the ginger dressing undertones and the presentation was beautiful. The Dungeness Black Pepper Crab Fritters, Asian Pear and Endive were outstanding and I loved the pepper jam underneath the fritters. The Pacific Ling cod topped with Honshimeji Mushrooms was flavourful and tender in a light broth. Lastly the heavenly Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar with salted caramel ice cream was the perfect finish.
