Vancouver’s largest, free outdoor music festival takes place on Saturday, July 13 offering an impressive and diverse music line-up this summer that will include the City’s top musical performers and indie acts as well as art exhibitions and special activities.
Khatsahlano! will feature 50 of Vancouver’s top musical performers on ten stages. The long list of bands booked this summer includes, The Pack A.D., Brasstronaught, Gold & Youth, Rich Hope, No Sinner, Gal Gracen, The Cyclist and many more as well as the Top 20 Artists from The PEAK Performance Project.
The former team from The Waldorf Hotel, now called Arrival Agency, partnered up with Khatsahlano! this year to manage the festival’s branding and music components and curate the artistic element of the festival. The “This Happened Here” exhibition will feature Vancouver-oriented artists, including rock concert artist Bob Masse who was brought on board to design the 2013 Khatsahlano! poster.
In addition to the entertainment, local merchants will turn West 4th Avenue into a gigantic, 10-block street fair with a wide variety of food options including some of Vancouver’s finest Food Trucks along with restaurants and cafes in the area, bustling patios and giveaways.
The party will start at 11am and run until 8pm on West 4th Avenue between Burrard and Macdonald. The street will close to car traffic allowing tens of thousands of guests to interact with entertainers, sponsors, merchants and the community.
