The second Annual Vancouver Foodster Poutine Challenge was a huge success featuring 21 poutine from 21 restaurants around Vancouver, Burnaby, Ladner, New Westminster, North Vancouver and White Rock. Each restaurant featured their poutine from February 5-28th, and then the public voted between February 26th – March 3rd. The poutine dishes ranged from the traditional to non-traditional.
The Winners are:
1st Place: Spud Shack Fry Co for their Porktine
Spud Shack Fry Co
352 – 800 Carnarvon Street, New Westminster
2nd Place: Fishworks for their Halibut Poutine
91 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver
3rd Place: Corduroy Restaurant for their Chorizo and Guinness Jus Poutine
1943 Cornwall Avenue
Thank you to all the chefs and restaurants that accepted my invitation and featured their poutine on the menu for the past few weeks during this challenge.
I encourage you to visit the winning restaurants to try their poutine! See all the 21 Poutine entries here.
Looking forward to the 3rd annual Poutine Challenge next year where I challenge chefs and their restaurants to concoct more exciting poutine dishes!
