Advice: Expect to line-up for a table at noontime as they do not take reservations.
Lunchtime at Finch’s is a time to sit down and take some time out of your day to enjoy one of their big baguette sandwiches. I had their warm Baguette Sandwich with brie, red grapes and walnuts ($7.95), my friend Alejandro had the warm Baguette Sandwich with brie and green olives ($6.95). They have an enormous line-up of fresh, homemade sandwiches all with different types of toppings, it seems that Brie is the house favorite here is it is featured on many of their menu offerings. They have soups and salads and cheese plates for savories and for the sweet tooth they have freshly baked cookies, muffins, cakes and scones. Finch’s is known as the tea and coffee house on the corner, located a few blocks from Gastown. Their coffee and espresso based drinks are fair trade and organic, they also serve chai and many loose leave black, green and herbal teas along with Italian sodas and juices.
