Earlier in the spring I revisited Edmonton where I spent 48 hours in the snow covered city.

I visited Mr Bun where I indulged in some delicious hand-made dumplings that included their Pan fried dumplings, Pork, corn and green onion dumplings in a very tasty broth, Pork dumpling with their house-made hot chili oil; Pork dumplings in the soup, and their Vegetable dumplings with their chili oil. You can see their chefs making the dumplings by hand in the restaurant. Mr. Bun is located at 10828 Whyte Ave NW, Edmonton and on instagram @mr.bun_yilong

I visited the Loca Quality Market and their on site restaurant Pyro where I
enjoyed their glorious Wood-Roasted Cauliflower on a bed of warm hummus with Chimichurri, along with a Blackened Chicken skewer and a taster 2oz North Country Beef Sirloin Cap steak. Here head chef Max Straczek is running the kitchen at Pyro Wood Fired Kitchen and Bar is located at 340 Baseline Rd, Sherwood Park and on instagram @pyro.yeg

For some healthy eats, I visited one of the locations of KB and Co. where it is all about plant-based eats and I discovered this eatery on my way to my hotel from the Edmonton airport, I had the Falafel Mezze salad. KB and Co. is located at 10224 104 Street NW, Edmonton also on instagram @kbandcompany

A great spot for Filipino cuisine where I had a very tasty lunch that started with a hot bowl of their Chicken Mami soup, also tried the Mixed veggies with tofu, Daingsilog — grilled boneless milkfish with garlic rice, veggies and fried eggs, Chicken adobo marinated and cooked with vinegar and soy sauce, Tapsilog — beef with garlic rice, veggies and fried eggs along with a Calamansi juice. I tried a couple of their house-made signature desserts that included the Leche Flan and the Ube Halaya. RJ Tasty Bites is located at 9711 107 Ave NW, Edmonton.
There are many more great restaurants and cafes and I look forward to discover more on future visits.
