48 Hours in Calgary

Earlier in the spring I revisited Calgary where I spent 48 hours exploring the food scene in the city.

Visited Porch for dinner with friends and the place was hopping with fabulous service and delicious food; loved the Salmon on a bed of squash.

Visited the newest Brookyln Dumpling Shop in the city in the 17th SW neighbourhood
to taste a trio of their most popular dumplings, loved the Korean BBQ, followed by the Chicken and Vegetable and then the Mac & Cheese; I also loved the refreshing Cucumber Salad.

I visited Empanada Queen to try their delicious Chilean empanadas, both the Beef as well as the Chorizo and Cheese were good, the pastry was exceptional.

Enjoyed another delicious Nepalese dinner at Calgary Momo House starting off with Nepalese vegetable soup, a hot bowl on a very cold day, followed by my favourite The Jhol momos were a treat, steamed momos filled with chicken in a delicious mild sauce.

I found a great spot called Z Crew Cafe for an outstanding breakfast where I had the Vegan Buddha Bowl and a Flat White.

I visited Flower and Wolf Restaurant for lunch having the Turkey burger that was protein rich, as I was staying at the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire. I also visited for breakfast having the Rosti which was a hearty dish on the cold snowy morning.

There are many more great restaurants and cafes and I look forward to discover more on future visits.
