Afternoon Tea is an art and should be an extraordinary experience one that you will cherish. Vancouver has some wonderful places for you to indulge in an Afternoon Tea experience. Each of the places is unique in what they offer along with the type of service and selection of sandwiches, pastries and desserts. I am on a journey around the city to find these extraordinary places.
Afternoon Tea during the holiday season and a great view of planes coming and going.
Festive Afternoon Tea and as the holiday season is upon us here is a great idea where you can feel like you are travelling without leaving the city. Lawrence joined me as we started off with our own tea picks from the selections offered. I had the Kyushu Japan Sencha while Lawrence had the Jasmine Gold Dragon tea.
We were served a 3-tier tray with savouries, scones and sweets.
I loved both Freshly Baked Cranberry & Vanilla Scones that were served with
clotted cream and house-made berry compote.
My favourites of the savouries:
Turkey Melt
Smoked Turkey, Grainy Dijon, Cranberry Relish, Pretzel Roll
Kabocha Squash Sandwich
Ricotta, Maple Drizzle, Pumpkin Seeds, Sourdough
My favourites of the sweets:
Mont Blanc Tart
Light Chestnut, Cassis and Vanilla Chantilly
Black Forest Noel
Amarena Cherries, Chocolate mousse, Kirsch
This special afternoon tea service is available daily at 1pm now through to December 31 (excluding December 2 – 5, 24 & 25). Advance reservations suggested and if you are local I would suggest taking the Canada Line as it is certainly easier than parking at the airport.
