Vancouver 10th Annual Pasta Challenge

Welcome to the Vancouver Pasta Challenge. Restaurants from all over the city were invited to enter their pasta dishes into this challenge, some of the restaurants have created a special pasta creation just for this challenge and others have entered their top choice off their existing menu. Each restaurant will be featuring their pasta creation on their menu from October 3-27, 2024

How does this all Work? For the public challenge, you are invited to go out and order any or all of the pasta creations in this challenge, then you decide who you think has the best pasta creation for the People’s Choice award winners. 

Share your experiences: Tweet (and don’t forget to tweet or instagram your photos) throughout the challenge, our twitter and instagram address is @vanfoodster and the hashtag is #PastaChallengeYVR please include this hashtag in all your tweets during the challenge.

Voting criteria –  some things to help you judge your favourite pasta creations – keep these things in mind: originality, creativity, uniqueness, traditional, non-traditional, price, value and most importantly taste.

How to VOTE :

  1. Look for our Pasta challenge posters in each of the participating restaurants
  2. Scan the QR code and Vote for your favourites from October 3-27, 2024 

Get some friends together and make a day or night of it, visit 2 places or more to taste the different pasta creations or go solo or with a friend– just remember to VOTE for your favourites between October 3-27, 2024.

Description: Our Pasta ‘Scusa Mi! Pomodoro’ features a base of Aglio e Olio, mixed with sun-dried tomatoes and spinach. It’s topped with prawns and Macedonian feta cheese, served over homemade linguine.

Ingredients: Garlic, Extra virgin Olive oil, Sundried tomato, Roma tomato, spinach, prawn and Macedonian Fetta

Available: 12-9pm; 7 days a week

Description: Everyone is so busy in life, I wanted to create a dish that would remind people, to slow down and appreciate the beauty of life. Food has an effect on people, whether you are stopping and enjoying this on your own, or you’re sharing this bouquet with your loved ones, it was important for me to create something that would make people, Stop and Taste the Roses.  

Ingredients: Caramelized red onion, truffle butter, cream, truffle infused ricotta, pasta girella.
