Vancouver Holiday Cocktail Challenge

Welcome to the Vancouver Holiday Cocktail Challenge. Restaurants from all over the city were invited to enter their festive Holiday Cocktail creations into this challenge, most have created a special creation just for this challenge. Each restaurant will be featuring their margarita creations on their menu from November 15 – December 10, 2023.

How Does this all Work? For the public challenge, you are invited to go out and order any or all of the holiday cocktail creations in this challenge, then you decide who you think has the best holiday cocktail creation for the People’s Choice award winners. 

Share your experiences: Social media share your photos and videos over Instagram and TikTok throughout the challenge, by tagging @vanfoodster and the hashtag is #HolidayCocktailChallengeYVR please include this hashtag in all your social media sharing during the challenge.

Voting criteria –  some things to help you judge your favourite margarita creations – keep these things in mind: originality, creativity, uniqueness, traditional, non-traditional, price, value and most importantly taste.

How to VOTE :

  1. Look for our Cocktail challenge posters in each of the participating restaurants and cafes.
  2. Scan the QR code and Vote for your favourites from November 15-December 10, 2023.

Get some friends together and make a day or night of it, visit 2 places or more and taste the different sangria creations or go solo or with a friend– just remember to VOTE for your favourites

Raincouver Sour

Description: The Raincouver Sour is a tantalizing cocktail that marries the rich, oaky notes of Canadian rye whiskey with the exquisite sweetness of Hungarian golden pear liqueur. We’ve added Drambuie (hint of honey & spice), rosemary & cinnamon syrup (aromatic & herbal twist) and a squeeze of lemon juice for a citrusy zing. Topped with egg white for a frothy cap, a few dashes of Angostura bitters and garnished with fresh rosemary and a thin lemon chip. Enjoy responsibly!

Vivace on the Drive

Co Co Christmas

Description: Introducing our Co Co Christmas cocktail. Our Thai inspired cocktail blends aromatic Pandan Vodka (infused in house), Coconut Tequila, sweetened coconut cream and fresh lime juice. Frozen melon balls add another depth of flavor as they slowly infuse the cocktail. Garnished with dehydrated Starfruit dusted with hibiscus sugar. One sip and you’ll feel like you’re on holiday in Thailand.

Our holiday offering is inspired by one of Chef Fanta’s favorite Thai desserts known as Thang Thai Krati Sod. This beloved dessert is eaten during times of celebration and we’ve taken those flavor profiles and crafted our own unique cocktail.

• Coconut Tequila

• Sweetened Coconut Cream (sweetened with Palm sugar)

• Frozen Melon Balls

• Garnished w/dehydrated Starfruit dusted with Hibiscus sugar
