Vancouver Cheesecake Challenge

Welcome to the Vancouver Foodster Cheesecake Challenge. I have invited bakeries and cafes from all over the city to enter their Cheesecake into this challenge, some entered their house recipe and others created a special Cheesecake creation just for this challenge. Each bakery and cafe will be featuring their Cheescake creation on their menu from September 8-30, 2023.

How Does this all Work? For the public challenge, you are invited to go out and order any or all of the Cheesecake creations in this challenge, then you decide who you think has the best creation for the People’s Choice award winners. 

Share your experiences: Share your photos on Instagram and TikTok throughout the challenge, our instagram and TikTok address is @vanfoodster and the hashtag is #CheesecakeChallengeYVR please include this hashtag in all your social media sharing during the challenge.

Voting criteria –  some things to help you judge your favourite cheesecake creations – keep these things in mind: originality, creativity, uniqueness, traditional, non-traditional, price, value and most importantly taste.

How to VOTE :

  1. Look for our Cheesecake challenge posters at each of the participating cafes.
  2. Scan the QR code and Vote for your favourites from September 8-30, 2023

Get some friends together and visit 2 places or more to taste the different Cheesecake creations or go solo or with a friend– just remember to VOTE for your favourites

Description: Served in a mason jar, this liquid gold, delectable and gluten free. A work-of-art dessert, is as visually appealing as it is mouthwatering – and seeing is the first step in believing. Let me introduce you to each delicious layer before you dive in! Gluten free crumble, Lemon cream cheese, lemon curd, Swiss meringue (torched for that molten gold filigree crowning effect). Light and airy and with each layer contributing to the taste sensation of refreshing lemon, it’s the perfect “anytime” treat. The only thing not made in-house is the mason jar.
